    Energy efficiency regulations. As of February , Alaska required that all new residential, commercial, and communal-owned buildings constructed on or after January 1, , comply with the Alaska Building Energy Efficiency Standard (BEES) if these buildings are financed by the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation.
